Lyle Ashton Harris (USA) Advisory Board

Lyle Ashton Harris was born in the Bronx and raised in New York City and Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at the Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Corcoran Gallery of Art, the Walker Art Center, the Institute of Contemporary Arts in London, the Kunsthalle Basel, and the Centre d'Art Contemporain in Geneva. His work is in numerous public collections, including the Whitney Museum of Contemporary Art, the Walker Art Center, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. During 2000 and 2001, he was a fellow at the American Academy in Rome. He is represented by CRG Gallery in New York. He has taught at California Institute of the Arts, University of California, Los Angeles, International Center of Photography, and New York University.Ashton Harris, is presently Professor of Fine Arts at NYU's Steinhardt School and the NYU campus at Asheshi, Ghana.
